What is Frontline Plus?

Frontline Plus is a monthly insecticide dropper for flea and tick prevention on dogs and cats. Frontline Plus kills 100% of adult fleas on pets within 12 hours and 100% of all ticks and feather lice within 48 hours. Frontline Plus contains S-methoprene, an insect growth regulator, to kill flea eggs and larvae. It is effective against all stages of the brown dog tick, American dog tick, lone star tick, and deer tick (the primary carrier of Lyme disease). (3 packets = 3 doses, lasting 3 months.)

Suitable for: Cats/Kittens and Dogs/Puppies (8 weeks and up)

Frontline Plus contains fipronil, a general insecticide and slow-acting poison that disrupts the central nervous system of fleas and ticks, and S-methoprene, an insect growth regulator that kills flea eggs and larvae. The active ingredients are stored in the sebaceous glands, excreted from the hair follicles, and continuously reapplied to the hair for long-lasting water-repellent protection.

Precautions

Your dog may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If symptoms persist or become more severe within a few days of applying the product, consult your veterinarian immediately.

How to use Frontline Plus:

Use Frontline Plus for Dogs (fipronil 9.8% and S-methoprene 8.8%) for dogs and puppies 8 weeks and older. Frontline Plus for Dogs is available in a 0.67 ml applicator for dogs and puppies up to 22 lbs, a 1.34 ml applicator for dogs 23-44 lbs, a 2.68 ml applicator for dogs 45-88 lbs, and a 4.02 ml applicator for dogs 89-132 lbs. Wait 24 hours for the skin to dry completely before swimming or bathing.

For flea prevention, apply it once a month, and for tick prevention, apply it every 2 weeks.

Use Frontline Plus for Cats (fipronil 9.8% and S-methoprene 11.8%), supplied in a 0.5 ml applicator, for cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older.

Use only one applicator per treatment.

How should I store Frontline Plus?

Store at room temperature. Store only in the original container. Wrap the original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in the trash after use. Keep away from children and pets.
